Randoms About Miss Randi

A few of my friends on Facebook sent this to me, so I figured I'd give it a shot and post it in my blog, too. Enjoy reading some useless (and not so useless) information about yours truly!

1. I am addicted to multi-grain cheerios. I've eaten them every day for the last few weeks. There were actually a few days last week that my entire day's worth of nourishment came from nothing but cheerios, coffee, and Diet Coke. I'm averaging about 3 boxes per week.

2. I have been meaning to join a book club for months but I just haven't gotten around to it yet.

3. My current obsession is a book entitled "Taking Charge of Your Fertility". I learned more about my body in three hours of reading that book than I have throughout all my years of sex ed in the public school system. I am a firm believer that every woman who is even thinking about having kids NEEDS to read it, it's the female fertility Bible.

4. I love love love to crochet. The extent of my skills is pretty basic, and I have absolutely no desire to learn any of those fancy-pants stitches.

5. For the first time in a long time, I can say with 100% certainty that I absolutely love my life! I am so happy with where I'm at and so proud of the hard work I've done to get to this point.

6. I hate waiting; I am all about instant gratification.

7. I love being married. It is hands-down the best thing in the world. Although everyone says the first year of marriage is so difficult, I find that I love my husband exponentially more with each passing day.

8. Although it's always been my life's dream to go to grad school, I've recently embraced the mindset that whatever is meant to happen will happen.

9. My "old age" is mellowing me out quite a bit. My husband is helping me to realize that life can be so much more enjoyable when you just let go a little and stop trying to plan everything.

10. I seriously have hair ADD. Consequently, I spend way too much time worrying about my hair color.

11. Over the last five years or so, I've gone from being a complete pushover who was prone to getting taking advantage of and walked all over, to an outspoken, opinionated, blunt broad. I think I need to work on finding some middle ground.

12. I don't believe in drama. Actually, let me rephrase. I don't believe that drama is or should be a normal part of life. I think that 99% of drama comes from being in relationships with the wrong types of people. If you can cut those kind of people out of your life, you'll be amazed by how quickly the drama disappears.

13. I cannot stand any of the "trendy" books or movies that so many people are enthralled with. I'm a grown-ass woman, so dragons, witches, and vampires do not interest me in the slightest.

14. I am going through a serious nesting phase right now. I'm one of those sick people who actually enjoys housework. I would actually prefer to spend a Friday night at home with my husband, folding laundry versus going out on the town.

15. I don't do shellfish. Especially oysters and clams. There is little in this world that I find more disgusting than the thought of sucking a raw, slimy oyster out of a shell and feeling it slide down my throat. I like lobster though, those are good.

16. I turn more and more into my mother everyday. But my mother is one of the most amazing people in the world, so I am totally alright with that.

17. I am going to have twins someday. Don't ask how I can predict that; I just know.

18. I find that the longer I live in California, the more I appreciate Montana. This state is going to hell in a handbasket.

19. My husband is slowly turning me into a Red Sox fan. Shhhh, don't tell my dad.

20. My younger brothers are the two most talented boys in the world. I am so proud of them and the incredible young men they are turning into (I'm actually tearing up just thinking about them).

21. I need my sleep. I mean a lot of sleep. Without 9-10 hours a night, I will get sick within a few days. Guaranteed.

22. I can belch better than most men I know. Correction, I can belch better than ANY man I know. I can't help it; it's just my God-given talent. My husband acts embarrassed about it, but I know he is jealous. :)

23. I am really impatient with electronics. I go from zero to pissed off real fast if something doesn't work the way it's supposed to.

24. I have no tolerance for incompetent people. Just do your job and stop complaining and making excuses!

25. The last 45 minutes of typing this has taught me a whole hell of a lot about myself. Wow.

Oh, I almost forgot...

The highlight of our trip, for me, was getting my hair done by Lynn! What a spoiled girl I was to have my hair cut, dyed, and styled. Michelle and I both got the complete princess treatment! Here's a look at my new 'do:

What a far cry from that platinum curly long hair I had on my wedding day. I love it though. If there was such thing as Hair ADD, I would surely have that diagnosis.

Looking back at previous entries, I realize that almost every post either has to do with my hair or some holiday. I may have to consider ammending the name of my blog to Hair & Holidays. Hmmmmm.

It has been WAY too long!!!!

Hello Hello Hello!!!

After two months of no posts, I have reluctantly returned to the blog world. If not for the pestering of my loving stepfather, I would be on blogspot.com at this very moment deleting my blog all together. But for the sake of the one person I know who does read this, I suppose the least I can do is try to give him something to read about. :)

The holidays were a complete whirlwind for us. We flew down to South Carolina to visit the Groff's at their new digs. The weather down there was aboslutely beautiful (even borderline tropical). Here's a few pics from our trip:

The Groff's condo. The first floor is Lynn's salon and the upper two floors house the condo where they live. Talk about an easy commute!

The coveted Sunbeam Tiger, Lynn's new "toy". The boys had an absolute blast in this car! Okay, maybe the girls did too! :)

I'm pretty sure this was the single happiest moment of Pat's life. haha!

South Carolina is a unique and beautiful place! I always thought I came from the backwoods, but Montana's got nothin' on this place! The sunsets and scenery sure are beautiful though.

I think my mother will agree with me when I say, there's nothing like a pretty sunset!

We were able to spend a day down south in Savannah, GA, as well as an afternoon in Charleston. Looking back at the trip, I'm not sure how we crammed so much into only 6 days!

Battery Park In Charleston, SC. I'm in love with the beautiful, old colonial architecture.

A couple pics from Savannah.

Our trip went by so fast, I only hope we will have a chance to make it down again to visit in the near future.
