Both with my early twenties, and the first half of grad school. As you all have surely noticed, I've taken a bit of a hiatus from blogging. The last few weeks have been busy, stressful, and emotional. I'd rather not get into specifics, but it's been a really difficult time for me. However, things are improving now. I'm on the up & up, and feeling optimistic and regenerated by the prospect of some relaxation this summer. My last day of school for the semester fell on my birthday, last Saturday. We celebrated by having dinner and drinks with friends. Here's the birthday cake that Pat got me from my favorite bakery. Yummm

Speaking of birthdays, I was thinking about where I was and what was going on in my life at this time last year. Remember this ?? Can you believe it's been a whole year since the lump has been removed? I was trying to take a picture of the scar I have left as a reminder, but I was finding that it's faded so much, it doesn't even show up on my camera. Wow, what a difference a year makes.
